4 months!

What is he up to?

D-man is rolling back to front & front to back, & can get across the room to get whatever (or whoever) he wants.  Usually he only moves like this when he's naked though ;)

Sometimes he gets up on his knees and sticks his butt up in the air.  He can also stand holding onto something for a few seconds.  He's really trying to sit up lately & resists laying down;)

Mister jibber jabbers mostly when he's tired or really excited about something.  The other daye started laughing while looking at himself in the car mirror. He just cracked up the entire car ride.

He touches everything & has been trying to rip my nose off lately!  And those fingernails, yikes!  I have to trim them every 3-4 days or you tear me up!

He LOVES Chelsea's turtle that displays stars on the ceiling at night.

Mister Mister enjoys walking outside & is finally tolerating the stroller.  The carseat is hit or miss.  Big sibs always bring headphones in the car just in case.

He sleeps in mom's bed.  I say mom's bed because Dad has taken to Logan's top bunk lately.  Evidently it's too crowded in our bed for him!  D-man was content in the playpen next to me but as he gets older he's made it clear that he prefers the big bed.  Can't say I blame him!  He's so comfy he naps great, 2-3 hours at a time.  Unfortunately at night he wakes after only about 4 hours (it used to be 6) just to make sure I'm still there.  Or rather make sure the milk is still nearby.  I just can't stand to let him cry.  My heart has softened a bit over the years.

I do await the days when he can stay awake for longer periods of time.  It's still only an hour or an hour & a half before he's ready to nap- making it tough to get things done outside of the house.  Nap time is always around the corner!

Everything goes in his mouth lately, even his toes!  I'm pretty sure he's going to eventually get his entire fist in his mouth one of these days.  With all the chewing and drooling you'd think he'd have a tooth, but so far no sign of teeth!

All in all he's a happy loving baby.  He knows his siblings well & tolerates their noise & them toting him around.  His preference for mom at bedtime is hard on dad & tiring for me, but it's not forever.  I cherish these days he wants to snuggle with me as I know they'll be gone before I know it!

Thirty-Seven

And this is why we got a 3rd snow day!

Thirty-Six

Guess who ended up shoveling us out of 13 inches?!

She tried to help.  Only she concentrated much of her work in the middle of the yard.

Thirty-Five

Where's Kansas?

Logan is trying to get a head start.

That didn't last long, so he did some work on his science fair project instead.

Twenty-Two

This is why I have so few pictures of my little man.  They always turn out like this.  I was happy to see him allow his sister to sit by him tonight though.  That's very rare!

Twenty-Nine

Big day at the dentist.  It's always un eventful so I sent the kids to the dentist with the sitter.  Bad call.  Out of nowhere Chelsea has 4 cavities that need filled soon, which will be interesting to say the least.  They are recommending laughing gas.

Logan has 3 stubborn teeth that need to come out to make room for the adult teeth trying to push through.  It looks like one will need to be pulled because it's not loose at all.  I told him if he can get it out before we get it pulled I would give him $5.  I figure that's cheaper than a $75 dental bill.

Then when I was helping Chelsea brush her teeth before bed, I realized one was missing!  She didn't tell anyone, and now it's lost.  She can't remember when or how it fell out ... and she doesn't mind at all, but it makes me incredibly sad.

Thirty

So studious.  A little math practice before bed.

Thirty-One

34 weeks!!!  Time flies!  Feeling great, tired, but great.  Mom's up 15 lbs. and loving hot baths, juice & peanut butter toast.

And we found the missing tooth!  It was in the backseat of Hannah's car!

Thirty-Two

Getting creative, time to make a going home outfit for baby!

Thirty-Three

Mommy is sick.

Sixteen

She fixed her own hair today!  There are 2 rubber bands in there somewhere.  Love her independence!

Fifteen

Insomnia is not helped by the bright lights of the Griswalds.  Seriously, I'm ready for Valentine's Day, enough of the Christmas lights!!!

Fourteen

I am sorry Brick ran away Logan.

Apology note written after Chelsea carelessly left the door open & our maniac dog dashed outside.  Unfortunately we found him, but before he came to me he ran circles around us at 100 mph for a few minutes.  Nuts, the dog is truly nuts.

Thirteen

Monday, Monday.

Left over birthday cake, yum!

Eight is great!

Low key family birthday at the pizza place - the big bash with her friends will be next weekend.

Nine

Surgery follow up & eye exam.  I'm pretty sure the exam was inconclusive again, the doctor just couldn't get her to read the correct letters ... Even though of course she knows the letters.  The dr. tried the pictures just in case & she did even worse.  We tweaked her RX just a bit & they'll try again in 3 months!

Preparing for the big BIRTHDAY tomorrow!

Eight

Finally, WBC is back up!  Full day at the Down syndrome clinic today.  We met with SLP, audiology, OT, behavioral psychologist, nutritionist & a pediatrician. They were all very thorough & very impressed with miss Chelsea.  We will continue to monitor her counts this winter to be sure her WBC are stabilized.  Overall a long day, but fortunately we only go every 2-3 years.

Seven

Chelsea made KCDSG Connections this month!
